Production Notes: In the Red Zone’s production team is very familiar with Camp Randall. As TV news professionals in Madison and Milwaukee, they spent many enjoyable hours covering events at the stadium. From Badger football to rock concerts, they’ve seen many of Camp Randall’s greatest events over the last 25 years. During the last three years, they interviewed more than 40 former players, coaches and administrators. They’ve also combed through nearly 100 hours of archival film, and invested hundreds of hours researching historical records and photos. It has been a treasure hunt to tell the stories of one of Wisconsin’s most revered places. The producers hope you will be as fascinated by the stories as they are. The award winning In the Red Zone covers nearly 150 years of history, starting with Camp Randall’s Civil War inception as a major training ground for Union troops. Many of the stories from Camp Randall’s illustrious history have rarely been told. Now, you will see and hear them through the words of the people who lived the stories.
